I recently sent an email to the Fed that laid out a case that manipulating the price of gold to make the dollar look stronger, was a fool's errand and doomed to fail.
Their reply to me was that the strength of the dollar was a Treasury Dept policy and that they responded accordingly. Is it possible that the underlying reason for a long and consistent attack on gold is not a Fed decision but a Treasury Dept one. Since Treasury Secretaries change with regularity and the attack on gold a long standing one (at least 10-11 years) it may be that an entrenched senior bureaucrat at Treasury is calling the shots on gold price movement - and as such a key player in the gold cartel.
Hi thanks for your effort. IMO, same tree. GATA has always brought in the Treasury as part of the deal. Larry Summers, etc. What you got there is their raison d'etre - Strong Dollar Policy. Does not matter who is President. all the best, Bill
